30th Annual Day Celebration
Welcome
Greetings to one and all present here. I extremely privileged to have this opportunity to address you all at this important moment for celebrating our 30thAnnual Day today. I am J.Mano Kutti, the Headmistress of the school take immense pleasure and pride to present to you a report of our Queens Matriculation School activities and achievements for the past one year 2024 - 2025. I cordially welcome our chief guest Mrs. G. Thiraviyakani Gunarathnam President of Poolangulam, S. Sundra Jeyaraj Assistant Commandant (DSP) 6th Battalion Madurai, H. Bala Gurusamy B.E, Assistant Manager of KONE Elevator Chennai, Our honourable Correspondent sir, beloved Madam and all the dignitaries, parents and well wishers to this glorious occasion of our 30th Annual Day function and price distribution ceremony.
Founders
Our Correspondent Mr. S. Selvaraj B.A, B.Ed, D.Pharm show motherly love , give fatherly confidence, his endless care, guidance and support prove that he is a great leader. Our beloved Madam Mrs. Queens Mary M.A, B.Ed, B.T Assistant Teacher, She worked very hard during the period when the school started. She worked tirelessly and was affectionate with all children. If it wasn’t for her hard work when the school started, the school wouldn’t exist today. She has been a strong pillar of support and motivator of our school.
Dream of our school
Our founder Mr. S. Selvaraj has the desire to create a dynamic environment to bring out the best of every student in a holistic manner. His mission is to create healthy, strong, disciplined, bold and competent students.
Inception of Our Institution
Dr. Tharmaraj, who is the one, lifted us from our hard time. The reason behind the success of our school is just because of him who helped us by giving money to buy land at the most needed time. Our Correspondent Mr. S. Selvaraj was started the school in the year 1994 June 3rd with the help of his wife Mrs. Queens Mary Selvaraj. At that time, Dr. Anbu Malar Tharmaraj opened this school with 14 students. Our Correspondent Mr. Selvaraj founded this school with the lofty aim of importing excellent education to the downtrodden and poor students of this locality. We have classes from Pre.K.G to 10thstandard. And now there are 341 students studying in our school with 19 teaching and 5 non teaching staff.

The best school should create the best environment that builds community and provides students with a sense of value, respect and connection. And also building and maintaining effective relationships with classmates and staff.
Environmental Facilities
A well-maintained and clean school environment is essential for the overall well-being and academic success of students. Our school provides transport facilities to our students from their various respective places. We maintain a hygienic environment with good purified water and CCTV cameras in all the classes to maintain discipline of our students. We have a well furnished Science Lab for effective teaching to the students. We are lucky to have a vast ground for major games like football, volleyball, kabaddi, cricket etc.
Computer Lab
Computer lab enhances scientific and technological research and invention capacity of students. Our lab is equipped with 14 computers and 24 hours internet connection. Our students develop their computer skills by learning advanced Google applications like Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Forms, Google Slides, and Google Drive. And also they showcase their talents through scratch coding. Our students have the ability to create amazing designs in Canva. Each student has their own email ID. We are conducting an online aptitude test for our students to enhance their skills.
Library
Our School library encourages curiosity, innovations and problem solving. It has been enriched with subscriptions for more number of Tamil and English newspapers. In addition we have a GK book, Short stories, Magazines and Dictionaries etc . We also subscribe the latest journals that provide a wide range of information for staff and students to update their knowledge.
Smart Class
Digital equipment that cultivates education by opening doors to digital learning and teaching methods. We provide a conducive environment that meticulously helps the student in his academic journey.
Our school follows three teaching methods. First, The teacher uses the blackboard to facilitate learning, improve reading skills and present new lessons. Secondly, using smart classrooms improves teaching efficiency and creates an engaging, dynamic environment for students.Thirdly We give the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills through engaging projects to the students. By these three methods to ensure that students are not only receiving an excellent academic education but are also gaining important life skills.
Playrooms are great places for our kids to explore, experiment, and create life skills. Our School playroom has colourful and attractive playthings. It helps students to enjoy their playing and improving playing skill. Kidspark is available for KG students to play happily.
Parents Teacher Association
We firmly believe that positive communication between teachers and parents goes a long way in improving the efficiency of education. PTA meetings have been arranged periodically. Parents met the class teachers and discussed the performance of students. Also give feedback regarding their studies.
Academic Achievements
Achieving academic excellence is at the heart of the endeavour of all educators and academic institutions. We are proud to acknowledge that we had good results in the Board Examination. Our student M. Rithika secured the first position by scoring 493 marks. M. Haritha secured the second position by scoring 470 marks and A.V. Anito Verbin secured the third position by scoring 463 marks. This was possible by our Lord Almighty and the continuous effort by our dedicated staff and hard work of the students.
Competitions
A state level Independent Day competition was conducted by Veda Academy on 18th september 2024 in our school campus. Totally 250 students were participated in that competition. Our student D. Jeganatha Arun from 1st Std got 3rd prize and received a 400 rupees cash award in the Drawing Competition. And M. Tharshan from UKG and V. Mathisha from 5th Std both of them got 100 rupees cash award in Drawing Competition. A. Anjana from 1st Std, S. Siva Tharani from 2ndStd, S. Siva Tamil from 7 Std got 100 rupees cash award in Handwriting Competition. The winners were honoured with Shields and certificates.
The State level Children’s Day Competition was organised by Kalam Education Centre. Our Students K. Tharun Chandar from 10th Std got a silver coin in Tamil Kavithai Competition. R.J Harish Ram from UKG and V. Suba Shithan from 8th Std got special prize in Drawing Competition, S.Siva Tamil from 7th Std and J. Gugan from 10th Std got special prize in Essay Competition and R. Santhiya from 10th Std got special prize in English Handwriting Competition.
The state-level Akshaya Republic Day Competition was held on January 8th in 2025. Our students S. Sivavedhanthan from LKG, Sasmitha sri from LKG, M. Ryan Ebinsingh from UKG, G. Siva Santhana Kumar from UKG , L. Sri Sanjeev from 1st Std, A. Esther from 3rd Std and V. Abarna from 10th Std got special prize in Tamil Handwriting Competition. S. RIya Shree from 5th Std and P. Lathihaa from 7th Std got special prize in English Handwriting Competition And Tharun Chandar from 10th Std got special prize in Kavithai Competition.
The State level GK and Thirukural exam organized by JCI Erode Excell on 13thOctober. Our Students S. Marimahasvin from 2nd Std, M. Prem from 5th Std, Sam Antony from 6th Std, S. Siva Tamil from 7th Std, V. Krishna Devi, G. Dhanshika and S. Siva Dharshini from 8th Std, J. Kethziah and J. Gugan from 10th Std got special prizes in G.K Competition. I. Keerthika from 6th Std and J. Gugan from 10th Std got special prizes in Thirukkural Competition.
Science Exhibition
Science exhibition was conducted on 21st October 2024. Nearly 94 students participated. From standard wise students were selected. The winners are G. Karunya Seetha, A. Nibashini, M. Dhanu Shri, A. Sudharshan and M. Isai Yazhini from 3rd Std, P. Hanumesh Ram, M. Vidhya and S. Sri Karthi Ganesh from 4th Std, S. Aaruth Yugan, S. Riya Shree, R. Reshmi, A. Kavin and J. John Rabindranath from 5th Std, I. Keerthika, V. Suriya. S. Yuva Raj, A. Sujitha from 6th Std, V. Subasithan, s. Tharun and S. Siva Tamil from 7th Std. Those winners were honoured with prizes.
Sports and Games
Belt test for karate was organized by Indiya Veera Kalai Sangam. Our Students M. Prem, M. Mathesh got a brown belt and K. Kishore got Green belt.
District level Silambam Competition was conducted by Indiya Veera Kalai Sangam. Our Students M. Prem from 5th Std got 2nd place, D. Ramanathan from 5th Std got 3rd place.
District level Skating Competition was organized by Indiya Veera Kalai Sangam. Our Students K. Kishore from 7th Std got 1st place and M. Prem got 2 nd place.
School Houses
“ Talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence wins championships”
The house system inculcates to the students the value of team spirit, commitment, loyalty, sharing and healthy competition. It provides a chance to students to develop their leadership skills and creates a culture of positive role models within the school.
The students of the school are divided into four different houses. Gold, Pearl, Emerald and Diamond. Each house is managed by house captain and house perfects. The house on duty performs its duty of conducting the day today activities, competitions in a systematic and disciplined manner.
Extra curricular Activities
“Do activities as our passionate about, which makes our heart and soul feel perky”. In order to groom and bring out inner talent we conduct various competitions for students like Yoga, Karate, Silambam and Skating.
Entertainment Day Celebration
Apart from that, we celebrate every third Saturday as an Entertainment Day. We conduct Indoor and Outdoor Games for our students on that day .
June 9th Speech and Essay Writing competition, August 15th Fancy dress competition, October 13th Thirukkural and G.K competition, October 18th Labours Day competition, October 19th Avvai Tamil Sangam competition and Class Room Decoration competition, October 21st Veer Gatha competition, November 9th Puththaga Thiruvizha competition, November 12th Vaagai Tamil Sangam competition, November 14th Toys Day competition, and January 8th State level Akshaya Republic Day competitions were conducted.
Special Day Celebration
We encourage our school students to celebrate National and International festivals meaningfully. We conducted the following special days in this academic year.
Kamarajar Birthday celebration on July 15th, Pink colour Day on July 15th, Grand Parents Day on August 8th , Environment Day on August 9th , Independence Day on August 15th, Teachers Day on September 5th, Labours Day on October 21st , Decoration Day on October 21st, Toys Day on November 14th, Children's Day on November 14th , Christmas Celebration on December 7thand Pongal celebration on January 11th were celebrated.
Teachers Retreat
Queens Matriculation School undertook a tour for our teachers to Venture Falls. All the teachers were very enthusiastic about Venture Falls. All the management faculties and teachers had fun playing games together.
After that, all the teachers visited the Kerala estate and enjoyed it. Finally, they went to Courtallam and bought things and enjoyed themselves.
Next, the trip for the students is being prepared. All the preparations are underway and we are ready to take all the students soon.
Hindi
Other languages provide a competitive edge in career choices, It is able to communicate anywhere. Learning other languages, it enhances listening skills and memory. We are very proud to say that we are teaching Hindi in our School. Even It is compulsory for 1st std students through this, students easily learn Hindi. A total of 9 students are going to write in the Prathmic examination on 16th February 2025.
Typewriting
Our students are studying typewriting in our school campus. Each day they spent one period for typewriting. This year 7 members wrote the Government typewriting exam. Our school students G. Dhanshika, M. Mathesh, S. Siva Dharshini and V. Subashithan passed with first class.
Conclusion
We believe that every year brings changes with God Almighty's protection.
As we reflect on remarkable achievements of this academic year, I am reminded the words of Albert Einstein “ Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind of think” . We are proud of our shared success and eagerly anticipate the great studies we will continue to make together in the future.
This annual report is to showcase the progress and growth of the school in terms of achievements and activities in the year.
I render thanks to our Principal, our Management, our teaching and non teaching staff and my students and parents who have been with us in all our activities with maximum support and co-operation
I also extend my heartfelt thanks to the parents of our students who have shown unflinching faith with us.
I am happy to announce once again that the school looks forward to continuing this service into the future, driven by the mission of actualizing its vision, unswerving in the pursuit of excellence without compromise.
